Stayed on this campsite with a view to visiting Caceres by local bus. A great stopover, and the bus and his driver were on time and friendly considering it was a bank holiday! As per other reviews, quaint clean individual shower/toilet block on each pitch! Lovely municipal site!
Well run campsite with wet room/toilet on every pitch. Close to the historic town and it’s surrounding countryside. Great for ‘townies’ and nature lovers. Excellent road links too.
Really nice municipal site with own bathroom facilities on pitch. Took advantage of the offer making it a very cheap stay including your electric. Never got a chance to use spa or pool but looked very nice. cafe and restaurant also busy with locals.
4/5 supermarkets 2km away in Caceres but parking for larger motorhomes is limited. A few other reviews have said no dog walking but there is routa alto sierrilla directly off the site and takes you all the way across ths hills beside olive tree plantations all the way to Caceres which takes approximately takes 45 mins to an hour. You can also continue on the trail for longer. Caceres old town is very nice and worth a visit Will use again if coming in this direction.
an excellent campsite with each pitch having it\'s own individual wet room. lovely bar and restaurant. great base to see the beautiful Caceres. pool closed but you have to tick 5 categories to do a review.
Stayed for 1 night, brilliant having your own wet room and the Wifi worked (first site in over 2 weeks). Couple of mile walk to the old town down roads with no pavements, didn’t actually make it as it was going dark so we turned back. Would stay again and would recommend for a overnight stop.
Before we came I read some of the reviews and was not sure what we were heading for. However, there was no need. This is the best European site we have been in. I don\'t know why there were some negative comments. The private shower/toilets are absolutely spotless. The pitches are more than adequate. We have a large motorhome with bike trailer and we fitted easily on to our pitch. The swimming pool was still open and it is massive. Nice bar, good food, free wifi and we managed to pick up English channels on our tv. Whats not to like.
Stayed for 2 nights, the use of own shower/toilet was unusual but very nice. All pitches quite large & most shaded with trees or some have full screen over pitch. Staff at reception very friendly & helpful, gave us full details on public transport into Caceres. Swimming pool excellent, big pool plenty of area around for sitting, few sun beds etc so may need to take own chairs. If you get time highly recommend a trip into Caceres Old Town, very interesting. All in all a very pleasant stay. Thank you
Good campsite on the edge of Caceres, next to football stadium. We appreciated the \'en suite\' facilities which were clean, and everything worked well. The swimming pool was magnificent ( and very clean), reception helpful, and easy to catch the bus into the old town, which is well worth the visit. Bus drivers are clearly used to visitors and very helpful in calling out the stop, as were the locals in directing us to the old town. They were offering 4 nights for the price of 3 when we stayed, although we felt for us 2 nights was enough, as traffic was rather heavy for cycling, even on the quieter roads.
Great site, been before for 1 night passing through, this year stayed 8 nights paid for 6, Cáceres is well worth a couple of visits the old town is very historic and there is plenty of things to see and do both in town and around about. Cycling is good in the area with marpitilda well worth a visit. Everyone mentions your own wet room, fantastic. Pitches are big enough for a big unit we got car, caravan and sun shade up no problem. Will be back again
This is a stop-over only campsite in my opinion. I pre-booked this site. I arrived with email confirmation paper but they would not let me register as I did not have the email voucher even though they were in possession of a copy. I therefore had to phone the UK to get a copy sent to the campsites email address. I suppose that is Spanish beaurocracy for you.
We were initially placed in a pitch where the rear of out camper van would have nearly been touching the rear of another. The pitches have no privacy and resemble a prison camp in my opinion. Hence a stop-over only site for visiting Caceres which is a great town or if on your way to the South.
One of the reasons I booked here is I like to swim and the site has a 50m pool. So went to use it to be told it is closed as it has not had its certificate issued yet?
Each pitch does have their own facilities. They are kept clean but tired. The window of the cubicle I had was held in by tissue stuffed around the edges and the rules were lighting in the bathroom area.
I did not try the restaurant but others said it was quite good. Facilities all working, clean and in good order apart from the pool. There is also road noise which was loud from one of the elevated pitches.
Overall I would not go back unless I needed a emergency place to get my head down.
