Large site with many facilities. It is very flat. The site was very busy and seems to have even more mobile homes and permanent sites and fewer touring pitches than ever. The first 2 pitches we were allocated were totally, unacceptable - one so overgrown with vegetation that we could not get the van on it and the other with deep ruts in the sand, but the staff persisted and found us an acceptable pitch. Sanitary facilities good and clean. Excellent pool complex, good choice of restaurants and shops, including a bar that sold soft drinks and ices just off the beach. A bicycle is useful to get round on due to the size of the site and there is an excellent cycle path at the entrance to the site which goes to the town and beyond.
Second stay here. 2014 pretty fair, this year a disaster. Booking system a joke, couldn\'t care less staff, dirty toilets, dangerous practices allowed in pools and on beach. We arrived having booked 6 months prior expecting a pitch in the Camping car area, our pitch was occupied and so were all the others resulting in a night on a parking area. Toilet facilities were rarely cleaned and badly when they did. Non MH pitches are bumpy dirty spiky sand so not a great experience. We will never go back despite their only plus of great shops and restaurants.
A huge naturist cam site. We were in a small camper van and were able to stay on a shady camping pitch. The larger mobile homes are directed to their own area with stronger hardstanding. You need bicycles to get around the site its a long way between the many facilities- which are first class. There is a good market in Montalivet village every day.
We were their in early September and the activities were reducing rapidly. Many people live here permanently and you felt that for them summer was over and hibernation was being prepared for. The site and the beach is totally dedicated to the family naturist, you will not be shocked by any outrageous behaviour at Monta.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in late August - early September 2013. Several choices to eat out on-site and we particularly enjoyed the Restaurant near the beach.
Very nice place, unfortunately we didn't have up to date naturist ID so were refused entrance after travelling from UK.
We were very disappointed with this site. As big fans of ACSI sites we expected more than the poor welcome we received. We had had a long journey to reach this site and we have been naturists for 20 years so it came as a big surprise that we were not welcome here.
We were hugely disappointed after travelling all the way from UK to be refused entrance to this site! Nowhere on this site or in the handbook did it specify that naturist ID was a pre-requisite. All other naturist sites we have visited have not required ID for years and as a result we let ours expire.
This is an excellent site. Calm, relaxed and informal. Great pool and loads of activities especially for children of all ages. Feels very safe and well organised. Can be busy and full at peak times.
This is not a very child friendly place. Most of the effort of the staff goes into selling the transportable homes to visitors.
