It was early in their season and not the warmest weather but did not expect a sea view pitch for ACSI price. Got the one where the red van is parked. No. 15 Sheltered and beach access --- dog loved this and the wood on the point. Could not fault this site.
Booked in here originally for 11 nights as wanted to explore the area. It took about 45 minutes after being given a reserve market and finding a pitch to get booked in as they said pitch chosen was only available for first 7 nights then original receptionist transferred us over to her colleague who went through same procedure. In end asked how many nights on pitch concluded we would have to move to other pitch for remaining 2nights. Upon setting up discovered we were between the German Walton\'s and french smokers who Loved to sceam at kids. Kids used the roads around site as a skate park and making lots of noise. Plus side facilities we\'re modern and clean. Main outside pool still closed but indoor open full of kids early July. Site is obviously a transfer site to and from Ferry Port. We left after 2 days and headed south again. Would not use again unless way out of season.
Really enjoyed this site. Very convenient for Roscoff ferry. Pitches all have privet hedges for privacy. We stayed on pitch 125 which was a generous size. Would have liked a service pitch but there are none on the site. Showers /facilities excellent with more than enough hot water. Beautiful beach at the end of the road 5 mins from our pitch. Not far to town centre, which had a good market on a Tuesday morning. Supermarket 10 min drive Super U. Also vets surgery on same road, handy if you are travelling with your dog as we were. Will be back soon !!
Well run and high quality campsite. Some of the pitches with a sea view are sloping and seem to suffer more from wind and get soggy with rain. The other group of pitches by the entrance are flatter, grassier and closer to the amenity blocks.
This site is perfect for a stay either coming from or going to Roscoff ferry port. I stayed here for 2 nights on my way back to Ireland and I will certainly use the site every time I travel through Roscoff . The pitches are a good size and most are easily accessible. The toilet and shower facilities are very good indeed. The staff were all wonderfully helpful. The location is fantastic with a selection of restaurants within very easy walking distance. The local town of St. Pol de Leon is a lovely place to potter around and the harbour at St. Pol de Leon is just beautiful.
Great little site. 15 minutes from Roscoff ferry. Originally for one night before moving south but the location was so good we stayed longer and again on the last leg home. Fab new toilet shower house with underfloor heating - wow. And the area so much nicer and interesting than much of the rest of Finister that we explored. My ratings only on those services we used.
FREE WIFI on the entire site no longer exists. 1/2 hour at the Campers kitchen per Day.
Then U Pay for it!!
Lots of ACSI customers Disappointed.
handy for the ferry pool wasn't all that warm has a steam room too the out door pool wasn't open as it was early may lovely see views toilet block very clean. you get 30 minutes free wifi a day then you have to pay need a long lead for hook up to electric pitches are a good size
Camping Ar Klenguer, St Pol d Pou (seven miles from Roscoff Ferry). Access is gained through a barrier system which is automatic (no security), I think the campsite is also across the road, although this was not viewed (I think it is statics). The gate closes at 10.30pm until 6am but there is a parking outside the gate. They take ACSI cards.
We stayed a couple of nights before catching our ferry to Plymouth and being so close we could assure a simple last couple of days, September 15.
This site is a mixture of static and touring pitches, kept apart.
The 1.5m hedge separated touring pitches are all a good size some with views across the bay, we were located blow a hill which offered additional protection from the wind. The pitches are a little off level, nothing the jockey wheel can not sort out. If it rains hard or long then the pitches do become muddy.
Electricity is provided on the pitches I explored (I guess all are electrified) but we needed to use about 20 meters of run. There is no pitches which have other services, all services are by reception, including toilets and I found a fresh water supply on the upper level.
There is 400mb of wifi a day available across the the campsite, a code is available from reception but after a short period my connection dropped off connection. Also watch out for apps updating as I was over limit almost right away.
We easily got a UK Freesat signal using a small Aldi dish, pointing over the bay.
There appears to be a shortcut from the area to a beach below for those who are planning to stay for a full on experience.
There are two toilet blocks one was locked at 7pm, the other was open all the time, both are clean. There is some toilets which have seats and some which do not, there is paper supplied and hand wash (but this was empty each time I tried to use it.
The shower area is unisex and again is clean, quite reasonable space in each booth.
The swimming pools are nice, the outdoor has slides, the indoor is of a good size with 'sun' beds and lockers.
Other things noticed, a 'library', microwave and kettle (aimed at backpackers I think), washing machines and dryers.
Possibly the best sanitaire block that I have ever visited. The site is well maintained and staff helpful. Pitches with sea views may be sloping but are, of course, the most popular. highly recommended
