The owner is a real, proud Basque. He can be proud of his campsite. The part in the front is less beautiful than the part in the back. Here are the pleasant pitches by a small lake. There is also a quiet part for swimming, sunbathing and fishing. There is also an indoor swimming pool!

Great place to stopover, but also beautiful village and fab little harbour ( Socoa) within easy cycling distance. Stayed 2 nights. Couldn\'t fault the facilities. Pool was warm, clean and no charge. Site was well maintained. Bar staff friendly. All round a great site.
Stayed for 14 nights in June 2016 on this extremely well maintained site with large pitches and welcoming and friendly English speaking staff. The site is easily accessed from the motorway, with a hypermarket 1/2 a mile away (with fuel) and within easy cycling distance of the coast (10 mins) and cycle paths. The area, whether traveling the coast or going further afield into the mountains has beautiful scenery surrounding. The site is often used for a stop over for those travelling to or from Spain or Portugal but deserved a longer stay.
Very pleasant campsite but very large! Not sure it would be for us in high season but lovely in May. Large pitches but a bit of a hunt to find the electric hook up - push it through the thick hedge then walk down a side passageway between high hedges, across another pitch to find where you had pushed it through!
Amazing large heated covered pool which encouraged us to stay an extra night to make full use of the facilities.
Seemed to be enough toilet facilities to cope even when much busier and spotlessly clean.
Very helpful friendly staff who offered to keep swimming pool open for us when I was checking what time it closed
Excellent campsite close to beautiful countryside. The staff were friendly and helpful with Madame taking us personally to a suitable emplacment for our overnight stay. Toilet and shower facilities are good with hot water. Will always stop there on our way to Spain, and maybe for longer than one night next time.
Second visit in two years. This time on our way back in to France after touring Spain and Portugal.
A very \'comfortable\' site with friendly helpful staff.
Paid Wi-Fi was adequate.
Showers were hot and reasonable powerful if a little old.
Pitches are unhedged and marked by painted gravel.
There is a good supermarket near the campsite.
Great for both walking and cycling in the hills and along the coast.
Difficult to find from guidance notes - just come off motorway at J2, turn left at roundabout, right at next roundabout and then turn right about 250 metres on - signposted. You will then find the site on the right. Staff helpful and speak English - gave us good instructions when we got lost. Good stopover en route north or South and close to motorway. Clean facilities. Fresh croissants for breakfast!
Second Christmas spent at Larrouleta. Everything as it should be, with many improvements from last year especially as regards drainage and electricity as we had a few cut-out issues last year this was all resolved this time round.
Site was especially busy, perhaps due to unseasonably warm weather, but the toilet block remained clean and tidy despite heavy use.
Staff as excellent as last year, with more exploring being done of the surrounding area with trips into the mountains. Who would have believed it, mountain climbing made easy, drive to within 250 metres elevation of the peak, then walk the rest.
Anyway will definitely be back next year as I cannot fault the site in any way and we have now started to scratch the surface of the surrounding area.
Stayed for 3 nights, staff very friendly and helpful. Nice pitch, toilets very clean. Fresh bread and croissants available fro reception in mornings. Handy for bus stop with bus into St Jean de Luz or Bayonne. Both nice towns to walk / shop in. Owners appear to be continuing to develop and improve site with new drainage, water and electric being installed.
This was a nice site to us, there was a very good welcome & the pitches were fine. The facilities were fairly clean and had good hot water. There is not much distinction between pitches but it simply felt okay. The upper side of the site is quite close to the road so there is some traffic noise, equally the autoroute is close so there was a slight background noise. We would certainly use this site again, over night definitely but also for a longer stay (on the lower part though probably). The Wifi not cheap here.
We used the site as a stopover on the way back north. Easy to get to from the motorway. Staff very helpful: able to order bread/croissants even out of season. We also needed to borrow an adapter for the electric points. Toilet facilities excellent. Good hardstanding pitches for the winter, but the grass pitches looked like they would be great in better weather. Attractive small lake on site.
