Another good stopover site but with a difference. Situated in a former German area of France (pre 1920) the area is dominated by vineyards and extremely pretty tyrolean type villages, the closest of which is Eguisheim, walkable easily from the site. The scenery is breathtaking, the air is clear and the weather is generally pretty good. The site has average size pitches, enough for car caravan (7.3) and awning with still room to sit out in. It is gently sloping but terraced and access is good. Mainly Dutch (transit site to South coast) with some German, French and British. The sole toilet block can get busy but generally copes with the numbers even when the site is packed. Wifi is rubbish but free - that\'s even what the owners say - but if you do get on cherish it! The village has a good grocers, bread shop and several restaurants (bit pricey) but there is also a superb Hyper-U only 2 miles away in Colmar with a Lidl close by (better than the Leclerc). If you can stop more than one night and explore the area - Colmar is worth a visit to the old town.

A very nice clean site with good sized pitches. Only a few minutes walk from the village with its excellent bars and restaurants. Other good walks in the area.

Couple in motorhome, first time on site. Excellent location next to beautiful village and overlooking vineyards, mountains and castles. Recommend pay extra for larger pitch. Wine tasting Wednesday evenings on site. Colmar is well worth visiting but realistically there is only one bus per day at 12.45pm returning latest at 18.25. Bus journey through surrounding villages is superb and costs 4€ return, and takes 45 minutes. Cycling into Colmar is possible, takes 30-40 minutes. Free wifi is poor, only available around office and sanitaires, signal is weak, very frustrating. Site is very, very popular, full both nights we were here, many campers turned away. Would return.

We agree with other positive comments here - a pleasant & popular site within a few minutes walk of the very attractive town of Eguishheim. The sanitary facilities are good & clean (although the ‘hot’ water could be hotter!). Free wi-fi by the san block; Madame on reception was friendly & helpful. We would happily use again.

Pitches a bit unkempt. Main issue was with unclean and confusing sanitaire. Cleaners present and very keen on washing the floors but sanitary ware stained and grubby. Washing cubicles in with a separate room with showers at back of the building. Very gloomy and tired building.
However, office/reception brand new and gleaming creating a slightly false impression of what lay within.
Enjoyed the mealtime presence of storks!

The site was busy but we really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were great, the town was really interesting and we found loads to do within an hours drive.

Very disappointed by the scruffy state of this site. It was obvious that the site had not been tended for a long while and there were even weeds growing through the tables opposite the toilet block. The steps opposite the reception up to the pitches were dangerous as the non slip covering was worn and could have easily caught in one's shoe. As for 80% coverage for wifi, no, you had to sit outside the toilet block and even then it was poor. The toilet block was clean but very confusing when trying to find the right section. On a plus point the town is beautiful and easily reached on foot and has some great restaurants.

A lovely site on the very edge of a beautiful village. Wifi is available near the toilet/shower block. It was free for the 1st 3 days but as we were there 14 days the staff very often gave us a number for more free days. Staff were very helpful and were always willing to provide local info.Toilets were cleaned by professional cleaners every day. Pitches were plenty big enough and ours was positioned that we could drive in and drive through the day we left making it easy. Eguisheim is a 5 minute walk from the site with some fabulous restaurants. We were there during the \"bringing in the wine festival\" last September. Plenty of other villages round about close enough to walk or cycle through the vineyards. Colmar and Strasbourg both a short drive away are definitely worth a visit and the Black Forest is about 40 minutes away. Just a delightful site in a wonderful region. During our 2 month tour of Belgium, Luxembourg and France this was the best site.

A very pleasant site. Toilet facilities modern and immaculate. Our large pitch (extra E1 per night) was more than ample. Eguisheim village incredible; like the Shambles in York but much more so and only 5 minutes walk from site. Free WiFi central around toilet block.
