This is a pleasant site, easy to find, with nice clean toilet facilities, loo paper, soap, dryer and hairdryer. Helpful receptionist, who saw us when site was still closed for lunch and let us through barrier to pitch up where we wanted and check in later (reception did not open until 4.00pm). We chose the open free pitching area and had no problem connecting our electric hook-up. Some limited shade from trees in the area where we pitched and having read a review that said site was windy we can report that there was not even a breeze during our one night stay, perhaps we were lucky at this time of year.
We spent 4 very windy days here, which spoiled it a bit for us. From what we could gather talking to some of the locals, it is common to have 30 mph winds blowing for long periods in this region during the summer.
This is a very big site located by the river, the plots are split into a formal area in rows with flat, grassy pitches just big enough to squeeze a caravan and car. There is another part where you can pitch up wherever you can find a space but there are no power points in this area. They have a full size football pitch, mini golf and horse riding. The buildings around the pool, restaurant and office area are very oddly designed and in a different part of the campsite - the pool is massive, obviously to cope with not only the campers but also non campers as well. The food in the restaurant was ok but not great, we had a menu for a reasonable price. The toilets and washing facilities were adequate, clean but not special. Handy for visiting Pampalona, Olite , and Puente del Reina. Friendly and helpful staff.
This is a lovely site with friendly staff. During May it was quiet though busy at weekends. The local village is a short but steep walk away. The surroundings with river running by are beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the heated pool.
Nice location by the river but again just opened after winter - we were the first and only visitors - nothing ready - we had to make our way from the camping section which looks to have a newish block, across the site to the permanent vans facilities, which also were not ready - had to request water to be turned on so did not risk using anything
The pitches are of good size and have individual water and grey water disposal so no doubt later in the year all would be different!!
I visited this campsite on 28th march 2013 but was not allowed to use the ACSI low season rates despite the ACSI book advertising the low season rates to be operational from 7/1 to 3/4,why?
A large site with plenty of space along the river. Good views and excellent sporting/play facilities. The sanitary facilities are excellent if you like loud bad disco music and are prepared to take a chance on having a hot shower.
This is a large and efficiently run site. I was there (not by choice) during the San Fermin week in Pamplona, which must be its busiest week of the year, but it effortlessly absorbed the busloads of tourists there for the festivities -- and they were less noisy than I expected. But the site does have problems. The main one is lack of shade or (more importantly when I was there) shelter from the wind: it's in a very exposed location, and will be much pleasanter in ten years' time when the young trees have grown a bit. Also, the alleged restaurant is a bad joke: it's a takeaway counter (with a very restricted range of dishes), with a few tables and benches where you can eat your food (from paper plates and with plastic cutlery) if you don't want to carry it back to your pitch.
