We stayed 2 nights so we could visit Barcelona on the bus from the site. Bit of a scramble getting on the bus as no queue eticat! Bus every 30 mins. Aeroplane noise from 6am until 11pm. Don\'t notice it much during the day but really bad first thing in the morning.lovely beach at edge of site with pitches face sea but beware they are much more expensive than the ordinary pitches. The other pitches are are small and would advice you to look around before you use he pitch they give you. Lots of longstay caravans with huge awnings and extra bits on pitch gives the site a very tatty feel. The washing, toilet and showers are badly in need of refurbishment as are old and not in very good condition. Having said all that for a short stay it\'s convenient for Barcelona but wouldn\'t use it again and wouldn\'t recommend it.
Stayed on this site several times, it always underwhelms every single time. How it is graded Cat 1 is a complete mystery. It is a mess saved only by its proximity to Barcelona airport and city. As a site it\'s saving grace are the beach side pitches, but they charge extra per night if you choose to stay on one. Great views of the Med, lovely cooling sea breeze but I cant help feeling I\'ve been mugged every time we stay there.
Campsite off main road. We had pitch on beach which was large and good. Rest of camp site looked very neglected. Roads and paths dusty and dirty. In fact the whole camp site looked neglected. Bins were overflowing. Whole place had a dirty feel about it. Reception staff were very friendly. Restaurant ok. Would not stay again. Surprised it is a category one site. Wad going to stay a couple of nights, but moved on.
This is adequate campsite at best supposed to be a Cat. 1 should be a 2 or even 3. The whole site is tired and had run down feel. That said the staff are very helpful and it is the closest site to Barcelona. Also the flights over head are every 5 min until midnight and start again at 6.00. The ASCI rate the two is the same chalk and cheese.
This is a large well managed campsite. We hadn\'t booked in advance and on arrival we were told that our caravan was too large (7 m) for the remaining pitches and we had to pay extra for a premium pitch. We still had an ACSI discount and our view of the beach was lovely. Good shop and bar, cafe. Very convenient for Barcelona, reception will give you bus times. Lovely beach alongside the site. Yes, there is noise from aeroplanes taking off from airport but you quickly get used to it & it didn\'t seem to bother most people we spoke to. We had doubts about a site so near to a city but actually it is a very nice site.
We spent just over a week at this site. That wasn\'t the original plan, but we loved Barcelona and the site was good.
The planes are noisy but you soon get used to them. The little shop which sells a range of groceries, drinks and bread is OK but expensive. The bar is good and if you try to speak Spanish, the measures and service become generous. The ground staff/cleaners are all a bit grumpy, unlike the reception staff who are brilliant.
The toilets are not unisex, as stated below, are clean and the showers do what they are intended to do. For Brits with Aquarolls and Drainmasters, there is a proper tap for filling up in the laundry and a drain to empty your grey water.
It is a bit of a hike to the bus stop along the main road on a rough path. Nevertheless, we took the bus in each day. Be sure to buy a T10 ticket which covers both the buses and the Metro in Barcelona and research how to use it. They are very good value for money. You can buy one in the Metro station near where the bus terminates in the city centre.
Used this site as a base to take our scooter into the city. As it was very quiet we chose a pitch next to the beach, just fantastic. Access road was narrow but we got our 9m motorhome in without a problem. New water and EHU points had been installed but no earth when I checked the electric. Site is next to airport but we didn\'t find the noise a problem, and no flights overnight.
Although this site is close to a main road and Barcelona airport, neither bother us, we were near the toilet/shower block in the middle and could not hear the road. As for the planes, you soon get used to them, you can pitch by the beach, or under trees. Electric 5amp, you can walk out the back of the site on to the beach. Here you can hire windsurfing/kite surfing equipment, or try to catch supper by fishing. Toilets are clean with paper but unisex, showers may not look much but are good, plenty of hot water, bar prices are reasonable i.e. grilled chicken salad and chips €8.50, only down side is the walk to the bus stop approx. 80mtrs alongside the busy road just inside of the crash barrier.
A nice site for excellent visits to Barcelona (dont drive use the bus) brilliant location for the beach as its has direct access. restaurant a little hit and miss sometime very good and the not so. but its cheap tapas good but the pizzes!! the shower blocks have plenyt of very hot water but they need a fresh coat of paint. they are cleaned twice a day. Pitches are from very small to large ish. some pitches have a fantasic view of the sea however they are quite very close to each other so not much space but mostly used by the motor home brigade. the only downside is when the wind is in the wrong direction the Planes taking of from Airport turn over the camp site so can be a little noisy during the day. But they dont do it from 10 pm to 7 am so you can sleep ok. A little way out from local shops and restaurants so you will need to drive . you cant walk as the entrance is on a very busy dual carriageway. (some pitches may be effected by the road noise)
Fin, veldrevet plads, god beliggenhed for Barcelona, dejlig badestrand.
Eneste minus er støjen fra lettende fly.
