Campsite in good location for marked walks in Black Forest. Close to Titisee which is very touristy. Facilities good hot water and clean showers. Restaurant good although we had no choice! Generally campsite is slightly shabby but very welcoming.
friendly well run site - good pitches with some hard standing on each as region looks to be wet at times - a pleasant 2K+ lakes-side walk/cycle to Titisee - other walking from site - excellent shower block - the addition of high local taxes makes this one of the more expensive sites - restaurant not used
Pleasant site with quite large pitches separated by hedges, in a scenic location. Very clean modern facilities block - though it\'s a bit far away from some pitches. Helpful staff. Restaurant on site was Ok but a bit limited in what it offered. Several good walks from the site, also suitable for dogs. Titisee town is easily reached.
Had a great time here. We stayed here in our tent for 2 weeks with our 3 boys 5,12 and 14 years old. The camping field is a long strip, with plots marked and some electric hook up points - not all are flat but it was not too busy The large main building at the entrance housed plenty of good quality showers and toilets which could meet demand. The four sheltered washing up sinks could sometimes be a bit busy at peak times. There was a separate block for children under 10 which my 5 year old son loved.
In addition to the outdoor play area for children, there were some toys in the reception area and every day at 5pm a children’s film was shown upstairs in the main building. We were lucky to have brilliant weather for our stay so were out and about using our free KONUS card. It was only a short walk up the hill to the bus stops where the bus would take you into Titisee town and train station or up to Feldberg and Todtnau (for the Hasenhorn coaster) in the opposite direction. There were several good walks and cycling seemed popular in the area. We enjoyed several walks including into Titisee round the lake and a couple of times down the hill straight into the campsite from Feldberg Barental station. The children enjoyed swimming in lake Titisee on the shore in front of Sandbanks.
We also visited Europa Park which had rides for everyone.
We ate in the on site restaurant ‘Seewaldstube‘. The food was local traditional and the owners friendly. The children particularly enjoyed the eggs and ham in a pan with bread.
The site had washing machines and a washing area in the reception block. The family who owned the site and mostly manned the reception were always helpful and could understand our limited German. We really enjoyed ourselves on this site and found lots to do in the area - would definitely return. This was the best site in the area.
Really nice campsite! Friendly staff, nice restaurant with great food! Campsite situated in the middle of the mountain trails! The only concern was faulty electricity sockets which caused a little bit of a problem. Surely I will stay there next time!
The first time we have stayed hear, will definitely stay again. Toilet and shower block well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful, scenery superb restaurant: good value, lovely food.
Nice well maintained site. Within easy walking distance of Titisee village and a round trip of 3 miles round the lake. Good sanitary facilities. Although we did not use it, the bar/restaurant was well frequented.
My husband and I stayed at this campsite for 5 nights. Excellent sanitary facilities. Walk along the lake side path to Titisee took approximately 40 minutes. Bus stop 5 minutes walk from campsite. Free travel on buses and trains throughout the Black Forest area. Highly recommend this site if visiting the area and will definitely stay there again if visiting the area.
