Good location directly on the Bodensee. Good to see that gravel had been added to some of the pitches to give a firmer footing for our motorhome. Like most German sites inconveniently closed at lunchtime when most people seem to arrive! Good cycle routes to nearby towns and villages but limited walking opportunities as site is a bit remote unless you are quite fit! Railway line adjacent to the campsite but don\'t recall trains running through the night. WiFi very poor and I found impossible to get a signal, not what a modern site should offer in this connected world. Toilet blocks were fine but tokens required for showers. Electricity only a 4 Kw allowance each day, metered thereafter and cable locked in cabinet so you are at the mercy of reception if you want to get away quickly and even when released you have to wait for your bill to be prepared.

Water supply was contaminated so we could not fill our motorhome tank but staff did not tell us this before we checked in. Wifi, staff asked us to check we could pick it up but did not tell us that we could not use the Willam signal that we could receive. Subsequently proved so variable that we could not use it. 5e a day also expensive even if it had worked. Finally charged us extra for electricity when we could not have used 5 kilowatt hours with no heating, used only low energy lights and water pump.Clearly a site for people with fixed units, very poor pitches for tourers. Work on the water supply and big pools of stagnant water meant there were lots of bugs. Not a happy experience

A busy site on the shores of the Bodensee ( Lake Constance), with fantastic views across to Switzerland and Austria.

Despite the following a good location to discover the area. Got a bit cramped at times, no actual pitches were set out, just blocked into areas via electric point numbers. A bit of a free for all in some areas. If more guidance was given as to individual pitch area this would help avoid being on top of each other.
Looked like mostly all year round pitches, which is not a major problem for us.
