Travelling party: Couple

Stayed here just for the 1 night on the way north, a lovely site without doubt but I felt that there was nothing there. I suppose having a motorhome you are reliant upon waking, the river was very near and one could walk alongside the river into the village of Coupon on the river Sevre. A lovely walk but the village was a disappointment as there was very little there unless I missed a trick!! Boats to hire or be chauffeur driven the choice is yours. Some small café on the banks of the river and the usual ice cream. The site it self is lovely, flat spacious pitches reception staff very welcoming and spoke English exceptionally well. Again given a choice of ACSI pitches that we chose leaving the motorhome at the gate. Number plate recognition to get into site once you are checked in so remember your registration number! Facilities very good and clean, saw the swimming pool but did not use but it looked good, remember those Speedo\'s no shorts. the site, it is good. Walk into Coulon about 30 minutes.

We stopped over for one night only on our trip further South - wish we could have stayed longer! Wonderful site, very clean, friendly owners, big level pitches and a wonderful pool. Will definitely stay longer next year so that we can take advantage of all the walking and cycling opportunities near by.

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We\'d a large pitch with tap and electricity point on the pitch. Sanitary block very clean and plenty of hot water. Definitely one to visit again.

One of the best sites we\'ve ever used. Good facilities, well maintained and very clean. Resident managers and staff all exceptionally helpful. Good location with easy walk into Coulon and lots of walking and cycle tracks nearby.

A wonderful campsite in a great location. We stayed two nights here and would love to have stayed longer. Owner very helpful. Great for beginner cyclists like myself. Coulon, the village, is delightful with Le Petit Train and boats for hire. Being a marshy area, mosquitoes could be a problem, There are basic shopping facilities in the village.

We arrived after reception was closed, owners let us in, were helpful and friendly. An excellent stay (2 weeks)
Excellent facilities - showers/toilets, pool, pitch. Generally a friendly site, a lot of English campers. Brilliant cycling routes. Definitely will return

Travelling party: Couple

We stopped off here after the recommendation of another couple we met while we were away. In practice is was rather \"end of season\" with only 3/4 other units on the site and the restaurant and pool were closed. However the welcome was fine and the pitch had electrics, water and drainage on it and was a good size. The facilities were rather dated however they were clean while we were there. Wifi was available near reception however the connection was open. The site itself was lovely.

Coulon was an interesting place (& an easy walk from the site) however it felt even more end of season and many places were actually closed. Market excepted I would not depend on Coulon for shopping. We enjoyed a walk around the canals and the area was interesting enough.

Lovely campsite with large pitches and lovely surroundings with trees for shade. Toilets and shower blocks spotless. Pool gets late afternoon sun and when we were there it wasn\'t crowded. so a lovely place to relax and unwind. Restaurant/bar not open. Fresh vegetables on sale on Tuesday mornings and bread and croissants can be ordered at reception. Very friendly staff (with good English) and a perfect location for cycling and canoeing (landing stage across the road from the campsite).. We had a great time and highly recommend this site

Travelling party: Seniors

A mid-sized campsite on the outskirts of Coulon, which is the centre of the \"Marais-Poitevin\" network of canals. Pitches are flat and of a reasonable size.

The toilet/shower block is quite modern, but curiously designed in that, for example, the washbasins in the toilet area - used by both sexes - are adjacent to the urinals. The showers are accessed by a separate door from the outside, which is kept open, despite the cool conditions on the morning we were there.

There is a restaurant but it was closed during our visit, but there are others within walking distance in the town.
