General information

Campsite L'Eau Vive is a campsite with 100 touring pitches. During low season, between 30-04-2017 - 10-07-2017 and 27-08-2017 - 30-09-2017, the nightly rate is €15,- at one of the 100 touring pitches at Campsite L'Eau Vive in Carennac (Lot). At this campsite you can not only use your CampingCard ACSI for inexpensive camping, you can also use your ACSI Club ID (as an alternative ID).

A campsite just outside Carennac, one of France's most beautiful villages but still in the middle of the countryside on the Dordogne. Plenty of opportunities for tourist trips out: culture (villages, markets, caves) and nature (walking, cycling, canoeing). Lovely in summer but also in the early and late seasons. Pitches with sun or shade. Family atmosphere.

Travelling party: Seniors

We only stopped for one night, but would return. The staff were good as were the facilities. Cannot agree with another report as an easy walk to the village as it is along a busy road and uphill. Because of that we did not get to reach it. Another motor home owner said it is better to drive in as it is easy to park, but unfortunately time prevented this. Did not get to use the pool as the weather was poor, but it looked fine.

Travelling party: Couple

Site in a good position near to Carennac which is a lovely village. Pitches roomy and quiet as very few campers there. Female member of staff very friendly but site seemed a bit tired and the pool was not in use even though it was the beginning of June. Free wi-fi good.

A peaceful site on the banks of the Dordogne river - plenty to see on the river, with canoeists passing by, or stopping off at the site. We enjoyed the tranquility and could walk into Carennac quite easily. All you need is on site - a small shop and fresh bread each morning. The staff were very welcoming and kept the site and facilities spotless. The pitches are very large, with either sun or shade to choose from. A relaxing and comfortable site.
