Travelling party: Couple

Campsite staff very pleasant. Could choose our own pitch but many closed as it was low season. Not a lot of privacy and some pitches had little or too much shade. Shower block a little old but clean. Toilet paper, soap and paper hand towels provided. No bar, food, pool or any other facilities at this time of year. A little disappointed basically a pitch with toilets and showers. Nice walk into town along the lakeside but sad to see very few shops selling produce probably due to the supermarket. The score of this review might be very low due to question that are not relevant getting a 0 score. I think it deserves 7.5

Travelling party: Couple

We stayed here for 2 weeks towards the end of April 2016 and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A short walk into a very pleasant town (La Clayette) and not far away are some pretty villages (e.g., Beauberry, Dompierre les Ormes) and small towns (e.g., Charolles, Paray le Monial). The site facilities are clean and the toilet block is modern, although the shower cubicles are a little on the small side. Pitches are a good size with some hardstandings and water and electricity close by.

We did a review on this site last year and are pleased to say that the hug standard we experienced last year still exists - prices remain reasonable, the toilets and showers are clean and well maintained and there is plenty of hot water. A lovely lakeside walk into the village and a good choice of shoos and cafés. We will be back!

Delightful site, perfectly mown and trimmed large pitches overlooking the lake and chateau. Lovely walks, facilities excellent and owners very friendly. The lady speaks English.

A very well run site. The French couple who run it are very friendly and speak English. Sanitation block is very clean, heated, and has lots of hot water. The toilets have seats and toilet paper is provided. A sports complex with a swimming pool surrounds the site which also has a child play area. The bread man calls every morning and offers a selection of baguettes and croissants. This site is a 15 minute lakeside walk to the village which offers a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, a bank and shops. There is a world famous chocolatier on the high street who won best chocolate maker in 1998. The local super marche is a 10 minute walk from the site which also has a 24/7 garage.
The pitches on the site are within easy reach of water and electricity although our particular one showed reverse polarity.
Laundry facilities including an ironing board and iron are available along with communal washing lines. Free wifi, a bar and restaurant with a piano! We highly recommend this site.
