We arrived in May and were told that we couldn't go on any of the reserved pitches. Now 95% of the best pitches had reserved on them but were not going to be occupied until June which seems a bit silly when we were in May and only staying 3 nights. We eventually pitched on No 48. We were disgusted to find that all 2 adjacent pitches plus ours were covered in dogs mess. We had to watch where we were walking. I went to the office and complained and was told they knew who had done it and what could they have done about it. With an attitude like that we left the next day. They could at least carry out pitch inspections when people vacate their pitch as most campsites appear to do.
Not sure what all the hype is about! The site is pleasant but not extraordinary. The pitches are small and packed in like sardines in a tin. The potch opposite us had a caravan awning and car, leaving no room for any chairs to sit outside. There us free wifi 30 mins only and only accessible in a depressing , dank , games room area. Wifi on your pitch was an extortionate €13 for 2 days. The shower block was clean but cold. The pool was ok but no better than the pools at other sites.
By all means come and make your own judgement but be prepared for your expectations to be underwhelmed rather than exceeded. Ours were.
Stayed may 2013 was given the choice of 3 pitches site very well maintained lovely dog walking in the orchard bin and bags provided nice touch most people cleaned up.
A choice of three beaches to use all within walking distance.
Site well maintained stayed for 3 weeks would return.
My one and only criticism the area outside a bit run down like a lot of France .
Restaurants expensive but lovely restaurant at doelan just along the coast .
ACSI price seems reasonable but that disguises all the add ons. The site is ok but we have stayed on similar sites where everything is included in the price. Definitely won\'t be going back.
Also, do not be mislead by the description of the site being in the centre of the village. This is true but there are very few amenities in the village. A PMU bar where you will be charged to sit outdoors on the street terrace.
This was a nicely landscaped campsite and the welcome was pleasant. The facilities were kept very clean. However strangely, despite there being a reasonable supply of hot water in the showers and basins, the water in the washing up sinks barely reached tepid. There is free WiFi in the salle de jeux which is not fast but adequate. The pitch we were on had water which is great but sloped a fair bit, good sized pitches generally. The village is small with little in the way of shopping opportunities. The coast is lovely to walk. Despite what it says in the app there do not seem to be \"easy\" cycling routes from the campsite and reception simply referred us to tourist information who only had info about VTT routes in the area. Again despite what was stated in the app I was asked to provide additional ID.
Nice peaceful site when we were there in Sept but I suspect at other times it would be anything but. Pitches vary in size and shade but we were able to find quite a few suitable for our 9mtr van. Shame they closed the indoor pool before the campsite shutdown. Lovely beaches nearby and we used the vet at Moelan Sur Vet on the way out for our dogs passport.
Les Embruns, Le Pouldu, Brittany, located at the top of the village a couple of hundred meters from the sandy beeches. We were here a week at the end of August 2015. They accept Acsi and camping cheques etc from third week of August.
The staff are all fantastic and their English and willingness to use it far outstrips our French!
This \'peaceful\' site has two pools with three slide, the indoor is heated to a very nice warm temperature. It gets busy in the main part of the day during peek holidays as you would expect but when we arrived around 4pm it was fine.
There are two toilet blocks and two shower blocks which are both unisex, located in the middle and end of the main area. The showers are free and have mixer/ push button taps which also include a sink and plenty of space in each cubical. There is toilet paper and hand soap provided.
While we were there for entertainment they have a football pitch with posts, table tennis and nice grassy areas to walk with some animals (donkeys and goats) to pet.
The grass pitches vary in size, we have a two birth with 260 awning and Jetta, just fitting on the pitch however across the way it looks at least half as big again. The site intermingles static vans with touring. The access road is just a car width and this can make setting up the van tricky, but we have a motor mover.... Without one you can easily push the van in to the flat pitches. If there is space they allow you to choose a pitch which would make access easier and some allow you to drive right through your pitch (in one side and out the other). There is lots of shade provided by many trees (including apple trees).
Our pitch (and it looks like most do) had water, grey water disposal, electricity and TV point which was nice.... I believe it is 16amp. We have a small (normal) sky dish and we have picked up Freesat without a lot effort and strong signal.
Would we stay again? Possibly not as there is another few sites nearby. Then again we rarely return, others have been here a number of years :-)
There is aircraft noise starting September as I think there is a military base nearby, none of which bothered us.
The site is secure with barriers that get locked at a set time at night, there is parking outside the barriers if you want to return late.... Don\'t forget your code as you will not be able to walk in :-)
We needed to have the electricity reset a couple of times, this was done before we had time to return from reception, amazing!
Some of those we spoke to have been here for a number of years, it certainly ticks a number of boxes.
Stayed at this lovely little site in August 2017 for an overnight stay. The pitch was large with electric and water taps although not a lot of space to manoeuvre on our pitch. Enclosed Swimming pool was lovely with sliding roof to make it outdoors.
Animal enclosure is a nice addition for the children. Lovely basketball court and orchard to the back of site. Toilet and shower facilities were nice and clean and heated 8-10am and 6-8pm. Outside 250 metres across the road was a lovely beach (not dog friendly) and a nice selection of French stores and restaurants at affordable prices for local produce. All in all a lovely little site that I would return back to.
Had a great time at this campsite beautiful surroundings and very clean, swimming pool excellent, didn't go to activities so can't comment, could do with another restaurant as the only one was always full or closed during the day when we wanted a snack.
This is the second year on the trot we have stayed here. Unless you want night entertainment (none on site) you will not find a better site than this in anywhere in France. The only problem we have is we like to keep travelling to different places we will have to come back again. The toilet block is spotless 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. It\'s a safe place to let children play, with three great beaches / coves within walking distance from the site.
