Great for a stop over but not good driving to it. It’s on top of a steep hill. Good site though with good restaurant. But only basic shop selling milk and water. You have to order bread for breakfast
Comfortable, quiet, well laid-out site. Staff friendly and helpful. Indoor reception area with free wifi and morning bread orders. Modern, heated, unisex sanitary facilities with loo seats and paper kept very clean. Huttopia certainly seem to have the right formula for modern campsites. Steep hilly, 20 minute walk into Royat.
Great facilities - clean & warm with v hot showers. Pitches are spacious but the site is very hilly. Friendly reception on arrival. We'd use again for 1 or 2 night's en-route North or South.
A beautiful site set in deciduous woodland. Very helpful reception with good information on arrival. Variety of pitches mainly part shaded.
Toilet blocks immaculate with hot water.
Superb setting in the hills above Clermont Ferrand. Nearby regular bus service to Royat and Clermont Ferrand.
Don't plan on cycling into Clermont Ferrand unless you are a hardcore cyclist or have an ebike.
easy drive to Puy du Dome with good campervan parking
Stayed very end of September travelling North showers and toilet facilities were very good piches were reasonable size and well priced.
staff on reception were very good spoke very good English and very efficient would definitely stay again
Stayed for one night only. Lovely pitch and site. Pool snack bar internet etc . But be careful of the showers red hot with no control just a press button, too hot to stand under. Be careful if u have kids. Nice friendly site and useful as a stopover . Had dog with us and very friendly
Staff friendly but not enough. Check in ok but no staff available at bar - you had to go to reception to get somebody to serve. Nice pool area but too shallow. Good free tennis courts and boules pitches. WIFI free at bar. Steep walk down into town and steep uphill back. Good supermarket about 30 mins walk. Easy if you have a car. Close to Puy de Dome where you can take your motorhome.
Difficult campsite to access, particularly when following the sat nav! Ours took us through some very tight roads which weren't easy to manoeuvre with a motorhome. Staff on arrival very friendly and although the reception wasn't open when we arrived, you could ring a bell and call somebody to come down, find a pitch and then pay later. Pitches were very shady and it felt very damp - wasn't helped by the cooler weather when we were there. Pitches also grit which gets everywhere. Not many water taps around and a lot of the toilet blocks weren't yet open, even in the middle of June. Positives are that the showers were great - the hottest we have had whilst in France and the toilet block was heated. The bar area is very nice and has free WiFi, there's unfortunately no food served there until July. The pool looked lovely but sadly we didn't get to sample it as the weather wasn't good enough. We walked down into Royat which is a nice little town and got the bus back up to the campsite.
Stayed overnight. Site is difficult to get to as it is out of town and up in the hills. Reception staff helpful. Pitch was level but not large. Toilet block was clean with good showers.
We had a difficult time getting to the campsite with the caravan due to the route Tom Tom took us (through the city up very large hills). Once there it was a really nice site (although our plot had a rather large slope so we had to move). All in all we were only there 2 nights but will be looking at going back (now we know how to get there easier).
