Rates explained

When you show a valid CampingCard ACSI at an CampingCard ACSI campsite, two people can spend the night for only € 12,  € 14 or  € 16.

It can be even cheaper. Several camp sites (20) operate a 10 euro rate. You will see these camp sites listed in the search results when you select all rates, but also when you have only ticked the 12 euro box. You will recognise these at once by the special 10 euro logo.

All campsites in this scheme charge one of these prices. One thing’s for sure: you’ll be paying far less than the lowest price the campsite normally charges in the low season. The reduction may even amount to up to 50% of the normal price a night for two people. The reduced prices each campsite charges are given in the CampingCard ACSI guides and on this website.

The price is also clearly displayed on the CampingCard ACSI sticker in the reception area on the campsite itself.

You can also enjoy bargain camping with your children or grandchildren in 2012. You will find 486 camp sites in the guide and on the website where (maximum) three children up to 5 years are included in the CampingCard rate. The symbol :



Take note: where a camp site displays this symbol they may still require you to pay tourist tax for children up to 5 years, as the camp site has to pay the tourist tax directly to the local authorities. Items such a shower tokens for children are not included.

To clarify things:
Only the 2301 camp sites in the CampingCard ACSI guide 2012 participate in CampingCard ACSI 2012. However; ACSI annually inspects 9600 camp sites, of which 2301 accept our discount card in the early and late seasons 2012.

Participating camp sites offer the following in the CampingCard ACSI rate on touring pitches:

• A camping pitch.*
• Overnight stay for 2 adults.
• Car & caravan & awning, or car & folding caravan, or car & tent, or motor home & awning.
• Electricity. Your CampingCard includes a 6A connection with a maximum of 4KWh per day included in the price. If you require higher amperage or use more than 4 kWh, the camp site has the right to surcharge you the rates which normally apply on the site.
• Hot showers. In camp sites where showers are operated by tokens, CampingCard holders are entitled to one token per adult per day.**
• Maximum 1 dog staying on camp sites which accept dogs. For a second (or additional) dog you might have to pay extra.
• VAT

* Some camp sites make a distinction between standard, luxury or comfort pitches. Luxury or comfort pitches are in general larger and equipped with their own water supply and drainage. In many cases you will be allocated a standard pitch but it may happen that you are offered a more expensive pitch at the CampingCard rate. The camp site has the right to decide this; you can NEVER insist on a luxury or comfort pitch.

**  The camp site is required to allow the CampingCard holder a minimum of one shower per day in accordance with the CampingCard ACSI conditions. Consequently each CampingCard holder has the right to one shower token per adult per day.
Where a camp site operates a different ‘shower system’ such as 50 cent coins, a key or a SEP key, the above conditions still apply but the camper will need to make the necessary arrangements with the camp site.
Hot water in washing up sinks is not included in the price.

The following are not included in the CampingCard rate:

• In some cases you will be required to pay for a comfort pitch, should you require one.
• The charge for a third adult or child, provided the camp site agrees to more than two people staying on a pitch designated for CampingCard users. However, at camp sites which display the following symbol

a maximum of three children up to 5 years are included in the CampingCard rate.
• Extra services such as facilities for which the camp site makes a charge, such as a tennis court, can be charged to you at the applicable low season rate
• Tourist taxes, environmental taxes, waste disposal charges or any other local authority requirements. As these differ greatly by country and region, and because the camp site usually pays these charges directly to the local authorities these taxes are not included in the CampingCard rate.
• Electricity, if more is consumed than is specified above.  See also ’Maximum loading available for electrical connections’ on page 9 (guide).
• Any appropriate reservation and administration charges

The three rates offered by CampingCard ACSI are all bargains, but you can save even more. Certain camp sites offer extra discounts to guests who stay longer than one night.

For example, a site mentioned in the guide or on this website that offers ‘7 = 6’ offers you a 7 night stay for the CampingCard ACSI rate of 6 nights. Certain camp sites may have offers which differ slightly from our examples, but on one condition – you profit more by staying longer.

Please note! Where camp sites offer several different types of these offers, you only have the right to one offer. For example: the offers are 4=3, 7=6 and 14=12. If you stay for 13 nights you have the right to a single 7=6 discount and NOT to multiples of 4=3 or a combination of the two offers 4=3 and 7=6.
